The TASER is a shooting stun gun that fires two probes out the front and impacts at spread out points on the body. This creates NMI, or Neuro Muscular Incapacitation, that completely locks up the assailant's body for 30 seconds if used correctly, allowing you to get away. As a cop, I've seen it used to great effect, and even had it tested on myself (it really sucks). The TASER is not a tool I would recommend to everyone, however. Great product, just wish it came with a little more for the price i paid.
Extra cartridges or a holster would've been nice for what i paid for this product, doesn't mean I'm disappointed with the product, 4 out of 5 stars is fair imo.

For my wife
Bought it for the wife. She likes it so far which is good. It's a little tall, but is slim and fits well in her purse. Havent had the need to use it yet obviously.
